DAY 1
Who is ready to save up to 50% off their grocery bill each week for 2015?
Each day I will do my best to share all of the tips that help my family go from $38, 000 in debt down to ZERO debt in under 4 years!
Saving money is not all about clipping coupons. It’s also about shopping smart, and knowing when a deal is a good deal.
I also hear many times that when couponing , you are only getting processed foods and junk foods for these prices. Keep following the deals posted here and you will come to see how far from the truth that is!
If you don’t want to buy those Keebler cookies that are free this week at Target because you don’t think they are healthy, then that’s fine! But you will still need toothbrushes, toothpaste, medicines, and household cleaners right? Save on the bigger ticket items and then use the money you used to save to buy your organic produce or natural foods that may cost bit more. Bottom line is…you’re STILL SAVING more than you were before right ? I will also show you how to earn cash back on several rebate apps you can download right to your phone. I earn enough and cash out every 2 months and use this to buy over $200 worth of organic chicken and organic veggies. But hey…I am human and I have 2 little boys that eat healthy most of the time so if those Cookies are free at Target one week. I am going to buy them! 🙂
We are a family of 4 and ever since we have become debt free we live a cash only life now for the last 3 years. If we don’t have the cash for something, we don’t buy it. My husband and I both have a credit card with $4,000 limits each on them that have stood with a $0 balance for the last 3 years. We have them for emergency purposes only. Can I tell how how AMAZING this feeling was the first Christmas we were able to buy gifts and not have to worry about that credit card bill coming to us in January? Not only have we been able to live debt free, we have also be fortunate enough to help so many others throughout the holidays who have less than we do. THAT right there is worth all the time I spent couponing and putting my lists together!
Don’t freak out here! You won’t be spending any time putting lists together because that’s where I came in and how Savingmoneylivingsmart.com was created. I wanted to help others do what I learned to do.
We do all of the work for you every week and you can build your shopping list right here on our site. Choose from the stores we post deals from , then select the items you want to buy, check off the the little box right next to the item , then print your list. I mean I would love to drive you to the store too because in all seriousness…I am really freakin’ FUN to shop with ! 🙂 But since I can’t shop with all of you…the lists will have to do for now.
You will be able to find the deals for all stores right HERE
These are the following stores posted on a weekly basis. If you would like to see your store added to the list , you can comment below and we will see if it can be done.
CVS
Walgreen’s
Rite Aid

Walmart
Dollar General

Dollar Tree
Stop & Shop

Make sure you also become familiar with my Coupon Database found here. See if there is a coupon available for ANY item right here just by typing in the name of the product.
Coupons can also be printed right here.
When do I start my Christmas shopping? NOW. If I see a small item that I can use as a stocking stuffer, for my kids teacher, or bus driver. The mail lady. I will buy it now and store it away in our “gift closet” for when I do need it. I will also do this for birthday’s as well. See that $50 toy in clearance at Target for $11? You bet your ass I am going to buy that and save it for when my son is maybe invited to a birthday party. Or maybe for my nephews birthday that is a few months down the road. And if don’t use it (which by the way this has never ever happened) I will donate it during the holidays to a child in need.
While I don’t expect you to follow all of the steps I took to become debt free, I hope you pick up a few tips that will help you and maybe free up a little more of your money so you can maybe pay down even one credit card bill. Or maybe if you’re late on a house payment , these small tips will help you get caught up. We are a minority really living debt free so if you can’t achieve this , I just ask you don’t give up or beat yourself up over it.
Just by following ONE of the steps I have taken is going to save you something! I PROMISE!
If you follow the deals I post throughout the year this is what I can PROMISE YOU:
