1-Use vinegar, baking soda or lemon juice to brighten your whites-Soak your whites in a bucket full of water & 1 cup of lemon juice or add 1/4 -1 cup of baking soda to your laundry load during the wash cycle. You can also add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle to get brighter whites.
2-Use 100% pure essential oils to make your clothes smell fresh-Add 100% pure essential oils to your homemade laundry detergent or put a few drops of oil on a clean dry washcloth and throw it in the dryer with your damp clothes.
3-Wash your clothes inside out to prevent fading– To prevent fading of any clothes, wash and dry them inside out.
4-Wash your clothes in cold water-Using hot water for clothes that aren’t very dirty is a waste or energy and you can even use cold water on your laundry that needs extra help by pre-soaking the soiled laundry in cold water for an hour and adding a few tablespoons of baking soda to loosen the dirt.
5-Cut down on dryer time by emptying the lint trap after each load– You can increase your dryer’s efficiency simply by emptying the lint trap after each load. Another great way to cut down on your dryer time is to place an already dried towel in the dryer with your damp clothes and your clothes will try in a fraction of the time.
