Tyson has announced that they are recalling 75,000 pounds of their chicken nuggets after plastic was reportedly found inside some of their product. Mostly sold from Sam’s Club.
The chicken nugget recall by Tyson includes the following packages:
20-lb. bulk packs of Spare Time Fully Cooked Nugget-Shaped Chicken Breast Pattie Fritters with Rib Meat shipped for institutional use in Indiana and Arkansas. The 20-pound bulk packs of nugget-shaped breast patties have identifying case codes of “0264SDL0315 through 19” and “0474SDL0311 through 14.”
5-pound bags of Tyson Fully Cooked White Meat Chicken Nuggets with a “best if used by” date of Jan. 26, 2015 or Feb. 16, 2015. These products were shipped nationwide to one retail warehouse club chain and have the manufacturer codes of “0264SDL0315 through 19” and “0474SDL0311 through 14.” The establishment number “P-13556” can also be found on the bags.
The chicken nugget recall by Tyson Foods is affecting the frozen white meat chicken nuggets packages that were sold at Sam’s Club stores nationwide. Consumers with questions about the recall should contact Tyson Foods Consumer Services toll free at 1-866-328-3156.
